Hello, I'm Iman! I’m a photographer and videographer originally from London, but now based in Glasgow and work between the two cities. I started shooting in London back in 2019 with my sister before I met my husband and eventually moved up to Glasgow. Now I’m a mum of three, so I’m balancing photography with looking after my little ones too!
I love paying attention to the details and capturing the moments that might seem small at the time, but end up meaning so much when you look back. I think that’s probably why photography feels so natural to me. Life goes by so quickly, and I love being able to look back at old photos and remember exactly how a place felt, who was there, and all those little moments you might otherwise forget.
That’s what I try to bring into my work too. I want to capture your day as it actually felt. The people, the details, the emotions, and all the little in between moments that make it yours.
My approach
My approach is rooted in storytelling.
When you look through one of my galleries or watch one of my films, I want you to feel like you’ve been taken through the whole story of the day. From the setting and the little details, to the people who were there, the traditions, the emotions, what happened throughout the day, and eventually, the goodbyes. I want it to feel like you’ve been told a story, rather than just shown a collection of photos or clips.
On the day itself, that means I take a very documentary approach. I’m not constantly setting things up or asking you to pose. I like to step back and let things happen naturally so I can capture the moments as they actually unfold.
That doesn’t mean I disappear completely though. I’ll step in when I need to, especially for your couple portraits and group photos, making sure you still have those beautiful, timeless images of the two of you and the people who matter most.
I’m much more drawn to emotion than perfection, and connection over posing. For me, the goal is always to create something that feels honest and true to you.
My editing follows that same approach. I like to keep things natural and timeless, without heavy filters. I want you to be able to look back at your photos and films years from now and still feel like you’re right back there.
